Mobile and Fixed Wireless Data Services Affected by Load-shedding
Eskom has announced that load-shedding will be implemented nationwide from 11 February 2019. This has impacted the ability of mobile operators to effectively provide coverage in load-shedded areas. This is aggravated by equipment theft, which hampers the precautions put in place for prolonged periods without power. Affected users may experience slow throughput, or no connectivity at all, during these periods. We are working with our upstream providers to minimise the impact to our clients (where possible) until load-shedding is lifted. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that may result.
