Rain network signal strength full bars and shows connected to rain service provider

Rain Uncapped SIM Card(Free Unlimited Days)connects to rain network but no throughput on any website visited... Change sim card to capped Rain and connectivity is restored....

Are Rain now enforcing peak hours policy on uncapped limited day (sign up promotions)

Make sure your apn is set to rain. Otherwise won't work

Same problem here in Bellville, are you in the same region?
 
Mine is working fine here in Bloem. Have my APN set to rain. Although it works without the setting the APN as well.

Same happened to me yesterday. I was redirected to the Rain website every time. I spend more than a hour waiting on live chat and then another half hour chatting and the consultant had no clue what the problem was. Just said she will escalate it to the Network team

Has your internet connection been restor or not. Tried yesterday and this morning but haven't tried again..
 
Interestingly mine was working great until 5 minutes ago. Will see when it comes back online

My rain sim in the promotional period is currently offline(No service). Worked up to about an hour ago.

Rain (Afrihost) SIM Card is working 100% when making use of RAIN unlimited promotion period SIM card noticed when doing a network search was unable to pick up RAIN network but gonna try again. Seems like they having tethering problems this morning unless they suspended / removed all network abusers off their network without any warning..

Are you implying I am a network abuser?
 
Doubt it's an abuse issue. Speeds seem fine probably just a hitch on their end.

No not implying you're a network abuser if you read their terms and condition
Where Rain needs to ensure that all Subscribers have fair and equal use of the Services offered by Rain and to protect the integrity of its network, Rain reserves the right, and will take necessary steps, to prevent improper or excessive usage thereof. The action that Rain may take includes, but is not limited to:
limiting throughput;
preventing or limiting service through specific ports or communication protocols; and/or
complete termination of service to Subscribers who grossly abuse the network through improper or excessive usage.
This Policy applies to and will be enforced for intended and unintended (e.g. viruses, worms, malicious code or otherwise unknown causes) prohibited usage. Where online activity will be subject to the available bandwidth, data storage and other limitations of the Services provided, Rain shall, from time to time, revise its policy at its own discretion and provide notice to the Subscribers.
