Sent another email at 9.00 this morning. Now they blame it on the warehouse. Why will NOBODY take responsibility, its always someone else's fault?

Phoned again. 3 mins tops, get cut off. 4 tries like that and gave up

I am livid with Afrihost. I sent them a notice to cancel the deal and refund me

I have been a customer for several years and called them a few weeks back to find out how I could cancel the ADSL and move over to LTE-A in a seamless fashion, from around the 1st October

The quite clear and written instructions were to apply for the service during the last week of the month, as the router would be delivered within 5 days, and data charges would be applied from when the device was installed, which would be 1st October

After several enquiries with Afrihost and fruitless, never-answered phone calls, PMs to the Afrihost rep, I am now told that it will be "two weeks" before the router is delivered

This is not good enough. You would think that if you support a company for a few years, you would get treated as a valuable customer

Quite the opposite in fact

Looks like it:wtf:

I used 119GB last month, but I see that the additional 9GB was subtracted from this month
So is that how their system works ? Where you go in overdraft and it gets settled following month?

So if Afrihost can't deliver the service, who should one use? I see people complaining about WebAfrica as well.

Hi all

I ordered my Rain package Friday, took deliver today Tuesday 10/10/17.

Ordered last week Wednesday, received a call on Thursday notifying me about delivery for Friday but told them for next week. Received my package today even though not within the footprint of rain able to access their service with 1 bar

Get one of these
http://poynting.tech/product/lpda-92-lte/

PS. Sorry, did not see I am talking to a Super Grandmaster. You know these things!

Don't stress bud. I asked Rain about the whereabouts of their Base station and their response was that the product wouldn't perform. Connection is stable that what counts not a heavy download user/upload user.

Will report back tomorrow afternoon if my connection drops during peak hours.

As per Afrihost website 11/10/2017
Huawei B618 Delivery Delay Due to Stock Shortage
Please note that our upstream provider has encountered a stock shortage due to the number of sales. You can still place an order for the Huawei B618, but please note that your order will be delayed by approximately a week

RAIN DATA BEING USED FOR SPEED TESTS.- 1GB in total.
There we go with Rain data being used and not used by any application. 15h00-16h00 I switched my router on to do a few speed tests. 550MB bytes were used for the 5 mybroadband speed test. Got the router outside and did another 4 tests between 15h59-1659. Data used for the last 4 speed tests and my recorder shows 445MB. During these 2 hours more data was used than the whole day and during the day I surfed as well as received over 30 e-mails. Highest data used during the day for any hour was 70MB. Afrihost you are welcome to check my ADSL data used for the day.

I might have missed something, but this is normal? I think it's only MTN that has a zero data rate when doing speedtest with the MyBB speedtest app.

Edit: Keep in mind, the faster the speed on the speedtest, the more data you use for that speedtest.

I've had the same trouble with Afrihost fixed wireless, my telkom 4g is consistently 2-3 times faster and the data usage is waaay inaccurate.
