I have a couple of friends playing it and they seem to enjoy it but you need to be into tactical game-play. Running and gunning gets you killed.

Mate, please ask them how the latency is? I hear there is no servers in RSA but you can make a P2P lobby? I'm really keen on buying it. Just don't want to spend if there is issues with ping etc. I don't mind P2P at all if there's alot of us playing.
 
So I bought it on monday...it has been a blast so far, although I suck donkey balls in it. I have only 2 complaints. First, the hit detection is ****ed. Also many times you don't hear enemies shooting at you, so one second you are running around and the next you are dead without hearing a thing. Second, the game is NOT worth 60 bucks. I bought a boxed copy for 45 bucks, and even then I feel it's a bit too much for the amount of content you are getting.

How bad is the latency? Giving you issues when playing? I'm considering buying it with my eBucks lol.

How is the lag etc? Hit detection an issue due to our latency? How do the local p2p custom games work?

You will notice it every now and then. Sometimes its to your advantage and sometimes not. My friends and I like the gameplay enough to overlook it. The slow and deliberate gameplay kinda works ok with our 200 to 300 pings.

The gameplay is unique and it is definately not a twitch shooter. You can argue that it has moba elements in its operator classes.

I get around 40ms, wouldn't know about SA. The custom lobbies are either local or online. I haven't tried it.

Btw don't buy the game now, it will go on special soon I'm sure.
 
The new patch improved match making and netcode.
