So after seeing this today I'm pretty keen to try this program out this afternoon. Do any of you use it?

I downloaded it over the weekend. I'm not a fan. Uninstalled it again.

Did you try make your own custom desktop or download one? Wouldn't mind getting hold of some of the ones from that article.

I downloaded one from Rainmeter's website. I couldn't find much use for it. You have to have a lot of time to customize it as you please and I've got better things to do :p

Tried it once. Had issues with the Win7 Show Desktop. I think its fixed now though.

Installed it last night, some nice skins at deviant art. I also installed rocketdock and the stacks docklet... looks neat.
No issues yet.

I tried it awhile back, the problem with it imo is that if you don't know what you are doing you are going to fail, it's confusing to setup. This is the main reason why I don't use it I like the idea though and I've seen some pretty awesome desktops made with this program, I wish I had the patience to get it going, the main thing that ticked me off though was that it doesn't seem to have the ability to display all my hard drives, I think it can only display 4 max.

Keen to get more input on this, maybe I will try it again.

Been running rainmeter for some time now... will most probably change the look over this weekend. Installing 8.1 official.

Edit: Crap necro thread... blame the guy above me :D

I run mine on my second screen as a sort of monitoring app.

The System info is modified to use OpenHardwareMonitor for extra info.
The qBittorent is a custom made version I made a few a minutes ago by butchering the Sabnzbd one.

I personally can't stand most of the rainmeter setups as they overdo it, but I've run this one for about a year now and it's never annoyed me.
