Hi guys.

Recently I came to the realization that USSD functions do not work on the RainOne sim. The other day I recieved money via e-wallet guess what the money is stuck on that wallet now as I am unable to access the e-wallet service as USSD does not work on these sim cards.

So if anyone wants to use eWallet,i-mali don't let people send you money onto your RainOne sim number as you will not ba able to access and withdraw the money.

Rain, USSD is the very basics. Get this to work guys come on.

Hi Impimpi

Please note we have sent you a PM.

Thanks, rain

I don't think these SIMs support USSD, or rain has a USSD gateway.

Let us know what you find out.

@jbroo : What sucks is that, for the normal folk they are not able to access ewallet services via the USSD menu. Now if someone sends you money you are not able to withdraw it. So the money is technically stuck on the cell number until either you port it back to a network that does support USSD. It's a basic feature that is lacking.

If you are not a FNB the only way to access and withdraw your funds are via the USSD services. Rain advised me that I should just check via the FNB app. That actually doesnt fix the problem. And I will not open an account just because Rain doesnt have USSD services enabled on the sim cards.

Lol blaming Rain because FNB is stuck in the dark times.

Not blaming anyone. USSD is just basic mobile feature that should be offered by the service provider.
Yup. Your only option as I see it is to get the payer to cancel the payment, then send the eWallet to a trusted friend or family member that uses a real voice mobile network.

Thanks jbroo for the advice!

Download FNB app, select browse products. Select menu bottom right hand corner. Select ewallet and register you rain number. You will receive a OTP and done. Select ewallet and withdraw, you will get your pin via sms
