I'm toying with the idea of some rally rims for the Impreza. There are a couple of reasons for this:

a) The car came with steel wheels and hub caps.

b) Alloy wheels would look better and be lighter BUT normal road car 15" alloys might not like the amount of gravel road driving I do.

c) Rally wheels are generally 15 x7 which would fit my existing tyres. I really like these: http://www.comp.co.uk/wheels/popup.asp?wheel=93

I got a price for them at just under R3k per wheel

So here's the random question that nobody is likely to be able to answer:

I don't suppose anyone knows anyone with a second hand pair they're trying to sell?

Just make sure about the weight difference. Modern steel rims use a special high strength steel which allows for thinner material and less weight. They are often lighter than alloy rims.

Original rally rims will be expensive... coz they made for rally cars...
Please dont end up getting TSW crap.
Good quality mag wheels will cost you!!
My advice is try and get a Suburu OEM rim! Preferably 2nd hand, they OZ wheels I think, very light and strong!

I know the STI rims are BBS.

Thing is, I want to stick to 15" because the higher profile tyre is nice for off road.
