Hi

I suspect my RAM or a stick is poked, will run tests later but was planning to upgrade anyway.

My Mobo is a P8P67 rev3, specs below.
ntel® P67(B3)
Memory 4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066 Hz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
* According to Intel® SPEC, the Max. 32GB memory capacity can be supported with DIMMs of 8GB (or above). ASUS will update QVL once the DIMMs are available on the market.
* Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs.
* Refer to www.asus.com or user manual for the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).
* Due to CPU behavior, DDR3 2200/2000/1800 MHz memory module will run at DDR3 2133/1866/1600 MHz frequency as default.

Current ram installed is as follows,
Corsair CMX8GX3M4A1333C9 XMS3 4x2GB DDR3-1333 1.5v CL9 Desktop

Dont think more than 8Gb is required is it, running windows 7 64bit?
Any good deals on uber ram out there?
Budget maybe 2-3K

First run Memtest on the Ram to determine if it is faulty or not.

If you still have proof of purchase you can take it/return it on warranty since Corsair and pretty much most ram for that matter have limited lifetime warranties.

Otherwise this should be good:
Corsair CMV8GX3M2A1333C9 , value select , 4Gb x 2 kit , ddr3-1333 - R424.00 + R75(shipping) = R499.00

For most people 8GB of ram is more than enough.

At this juncture time is money, and running memory tests for endless hours will cost more than just replacing the ram for me.
Memory will still be under warranty, and will send it back to the suppliers but that will take a few days to sort out on its own.

So in short, I will stick in new memory, if it still give trouble then at least its not the memory sticks ;)
