Ram compatibilty

as long as they the same speed (e.g. ddr3 800) or whatever you using then yes.
 
Same timings,Same density and it'll be fine. Diff timings it'll act weird. Diff density it'll stop working ;)
 
Psy how do I check? I am in the process of buying new Ram tomorrow - Corsair 2x1Gb DDR3 xms3 1066
and I currently have Team Xtreem 1GB*2 DDR3 1066MHz CL7 Includes 2 x 1 GB Memory Modules PC3-8500 1066MHz 7-7-7-21 Operating Voltage: 1.5V Team Xtreem - Retail Package [TXD32048M1066HC7DC]

Man this is a difficult one, as far as I can tell, the timings won't make a difference in terms of working or not, but you might see a drop in performance on the unit with the lower latency. I'm sure someone will post here to disagree with me, then perhaps we will have some more perspective. Can you return it if it does not work? If yes then go for it, you will not blow anything afaik
