Hiya! I have 2x sets of 2x2GB's of 1600 RAM, giving me 8GB's in total.

My motherboard I "think" has 6 RAM slots. Its the Asus Rampage III Extreme. I'd like to know if would be able to add a SINGLE 8GB 1600 RAM module to my existing set up?

TIA!

Depends on the motherboard if it even supports 8GB modules (some don't), so the correct answer is look up the motherboard specifications.

This is your motherboard specs

Not too sure how the rest of your pc setup is looking but I would go for 2 x 8 Gig 2000's if I was you take out what you have and let it run on that

This shows under the specs for your mobo

6 x DIMM, Max. 24 GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory

I would check the qualified vendor's list (QVL) for compatibility
