Hi

I am looking to buy a new Laptop from Wootware (WootBook Ultra II).

Configuration:
CPU: i7 10875h
GPU: RTX 2070 max P
Ram: 8gb x 2 (2400mhz)
SSD: 1TB

This laptop can be configured with 2400mhz ram but laptop can use upto 2933mhz of ram.

It seems like the performance increase can be anything from 1% to 10% in some cases when looking at Desktop comparisons on the internet.

My question is, do laptops also get noticeable performance increase from getting faster RAM? Will the WootBook Ultra II benefit in games from the faster RAM?

Thanks in advance

A Laptop is a pre-build piece of equipment ... so i wouldn't waste money just to change the RAM speed ... not something you're going to pick up with the eye in any event :p

thats something overclockers will look into

Thanks for the reply.

The Wootbook is not pre-build (Bare bone laptop) so i can configure the laptop as i like. Its just that the faster ram is a lot more expensive.

As mentioned before... you won't notice a difference, unless you are bench marking games and other heavy applications on a laptop.
Save yourself some money, use it for something else.

2400Mhz to 2933Mhz will give you literally 0% performance increase, unless you like to see a few numbers change in a useless synthetic benchmark - and also it's a laptop. Laptops are not configured for performance out of the box anyway.

You will probably get some slightly better frametimes and even a slight increase in fps with the faster RAM but you already have a decent machine there that is capable of some good gaming experience, so I say don't waste the extra money lol.

Get the best and fastest ram you can get. You probably won't upgrade later.
