RAM prices are ridiculous

You could look at the Power Color Reaper (200mm long, 220mm including the PCI bracket) but not available in SA AFAIK.

EDIT: It is listed on Progenix but out of stock - maybe a good idea to get in touch with them and ask if it will be restocked?
Progenix had a different one which I just bought, thanks for the tip to look there.

It's only 200mm, a bit taller but that'll be fine for my case.

I have a feeling GPUs are going become almost unattainable in the next 6 months.

I think the RX 9060 XT 16GB models will have its production scaled down. Scarcity will drive price increases. Both AMD and Nvidia are seemingly prioritising 8GB models in this class.

I am kinda happy that my RX Vega 64 broke, so I had to replace it with a RX 9060 XT 16GB. A bad event turned into a good sign. I am still going to attempt repairing the GPU.

Ye, this trend is starting already and I don't see it going in the opposite direction any time soon.

NVMe stock is already drying up.

15TB jumped over R100k in a month. Delivery times on 7TB is sitting at 5 months+ and prices are soaring.

Hardware rotation plans for this year are pretty much broken.

I'm might also be trying to justify the purchase of a GPU that I don't really need

But I might need in year's time right?

The 9060 XT will serve you decently well for the foreseeable future, at least until this debacle is over at least.

I just hope my 3080Ti can weather the storm.

Ye, I hope so. I built a DIY Steam machine last weekend with Bazzite. It's awesome except with an Nvidia GPU it kind of sucks right now as support just isn't quite there.

Might be able to sell my 3060Ti in a few months to cover the 9060XT purchase with the way GPU prices are going

once again local companies ripping the ring... yes RAM prices and the likes have increased.

BUT... they hold stock and a lot of it, it doesn't magically go up overnight, surely when that stock is depleted then they order new stock at the new prices.

But noooooo price increase immediately = we get shafted

Ok, and when prices come down again you'd be happy for local suppliers to keep charging high prices for the stock they had on hand until they order new stocl at the lower prices?
