I am looking at buying a new computer (used mainly for gaming) and am really confused when it comes to RAM.
Basically I am trying to decide between these 2 options:
Apacer Giant II 3x 2GB DDR3 240-Pin DIMM, 1.65V [PC12800] - Retail Kit 1600Mhz (R910)
2*Apacer 4096MB SODIM 204PIN 1333MHZ DIMM 1333Mhz (R356 each =R712)
Will the Giant RAM make a noticeable difference? Baring in mind that I am going with a MSI Intel P67A-GD65 which only supports upto 1333MHZ.
Also the Apacer site (http://usa.apacer.com/us/products/O...ple_Channel_DDR3-1600_Overclocking_Memory.htm) says that it is tripple channel but my CPU has only 2 memory channels(http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=52209). Again will this cause a problem?
And lastly that intel site it says "Memory Types DDR3-1066/1333" does that mean that the cpu only supports up to 1333 if yes then why do they make the faster RAM as every cpu i checked did not go above 1333.
Thanks
