RAM upgrade problem

I bought 4GB ram (DDR2) (Corsair 2x2GB Kit) for my Dell Inspiron 1525 but both of them won't work at the same time.

When I install one module (in either slot) it works fine but when both are in I get a blue screen of death and the laptop reboots.

I've already updated BIOS but the problem persists. Is it a problem with my laptop or the ram?

Thanks

Thanks NomNom

I ran memtest on both sticks and there were no errors.

Here are the error logs.

It could also be a timing/voltage issue, but I'm not sure if you can adjust those values in your laptop's BIOS, because I can't with my Dell Inspiron 9400.

IIRC, memtest x86 would report the latencies of the memory. CPU-z will definitely report the timings & voltages of the RAM.

Cheers Panda.

This is what I get from CPUZ
