I currently have 1 stick of Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 .

Should I buy another stick of the same? Will this provide a performance increase in general computing and gaming?

Should I buy 2 sticks of some other ram? One 4GB of another ram?

Better to have 2 of the same. So get another Kingston that's the same as yours. Then it's dual channel or something like that it's called. Faster that way.

Or you can get two sticks of another.

Should be the same I think.

Faster as in my FPS will increase?

Depends on the game. But levels will definitely faster and exit faster.

8GB is what you want these days. Get another stick of the same brand and speed.

Great thanks. It's not a bad price either I don't think.

Unlikely to result in a direct FPS increase. General performance will benefit though.

For 1333 RAM you can also seriously think about 2nd hand - mainly because its easy to test whether its OK.

That being said - not the best of times to be buying RAM (or any hardware). I also wanted to add more...until I found out I'd have to pay ~2x as much per gig for comparable stuff as I did back in 2011-2012 (can't remember). Nee f....

So true, but prices now are something you will need to DEAL with if you want to upgrade.
