Ramaphosa reportedly considers cabinet reshuffle

I love a **** show!!

Is this going to be the norm, that South African presidents do not finish their term(s)? It definitely feels like Cyril is not going to make it through 2 terms.

He's threatening to topple over the trough and the piggies will have none of that. Fighting corruption unfortunately unites the RET and even some of the middle roaders who believe being a member of the ANC entitles you to free access to state money.

The ANC voters don't know what to do anymore. They realising their own people are screwing up everything. They need white people like me. But they hate us.

Their own people are useless. Don't trust their own kind. At least I don't **** them over like their own people
I'm honest.

I'm nobody's corruption candidate. I cannot be corrupted. I stand taller than my shadow. Many have tried. ALL have failed. Don't **** with me.
My ethics are pure. I stand tall.

South Africa I put before my needs. Always.

You and them are in good company. They hate you, you hate them. But you need each other economically so you're kinda stuck in the abusive relationship.

Let's shuffle a few corrupt cadres around.....there you go, corruption sorted.

Only in Africa.

I would actually prefer Ramaposer to only complete the one term. The ideal outcome would be that the cANCer gets <50% in the next national elections and be forced into a coalition government with another centrist party.

The "drol in die drinkwater" is the EFF as the SA electorate are morons (on average) and unpredictable things can happen when morons vote, as we have seen in the past 26 years.

I still think he is pretty much in the same position he was going into that meeting, he will feel emboldened by the Zuptas fightback since it is now clear they are actively out to get him, thinking about it, it was an error of judgment on the Zuptas to come out publicly like that, now they cannot hide behind some unity pretense anymore.
My feeling is it's an attempt to bait all the Zuptas out into the open. Some were known, but they needed to find out who the others were, where they can't hide behind unity as you say.

Maybe the NPA is finally in a position to start prosecuting and this makes finding the targets easier. One can dream...

On a completely unrelated note:

Look at Tony, talking about moral compass and all that. Very cute. I thought he received prison sentence (and not morals) when he was convicted of fraud.

The Sunday Times reported that ANC NEC member Tony Yengeni was one of the most senior officials to call for the president’s resignation, saying that he lacked the ‘moral compass’ to lead the fight against corruption.

Aren't your genes working on finding Covid vaccination? How do you find time to spend here?

The mere fact that stealing has become risky is good enough for now, if they cannot steal they cannot mobilise, Zuma's lonely court appearance even before Covid 19 are proof of that.

Between the Hawks, NPA and SARS there isn't much breathing space. All Ramaphosa has to do is close the streams of revenue for them, those who do manage to get their hands on some money will have to deal with SARS, no one wants SARS to shine light on their darkness.

Part of his duties is to give regular reports on what the ANC supporters are getting up to in the EC, multi tasking is a thing in the high IQ world you know.

The only way for Ramaphosa to remove corruption from the ANC is by getting rid of the Zupta controlling faction, so he can do what he needs to without worry about being removed as president. The only way to achieve that is with a new NEC that fully supports him. To get that new NEC he needs the majority support of the ANC lower echelons ... a large portion of which are benefitting from the corruption and don't want to see things change. The portion that are involved in the corruption will likely use intimidation, money and violence against those not involved in corruption to get them to keep the status quo.

The rot is so deep in the ANC now that I don't believe there is any real hope of saving it.

His best bet is to get the NPA to laser focus on 2-3 really big high profile cases of big politicians outside of the ANC (Julias + Floyd and VBS are the first on the list) and bring them to justice. If the lower ANC ranks see other politicians actually land up in jail, it might put enough fear into them to stop stealing and maybe turn against the higher ranks within the ANC who are complicit or controlling the corruption.

That would be wrong, if he starts to get the NPA to do things then how different is he from Zuma who was using the NPA to target the likes of Gordhan with made up charges?

The NPA, Hawks, SARS and all the agencies should be left alone to do their job, the President has no business getting them to focus on people.

The hypocrisy is amazing,

my mouth is agape.
