He was never going to resign. The only reason he would have resigned was in the case the ANC wanted to excel a successor, but that I doubt was ever the case. All what Ramaphosa is at the moment is being inconvenienced by RET and its stalwarts. Power dynamics, Zuma is still measuring his excellency. Ultimately cadres don’t sell out.

Just wait until Ramaphosa closes the panel because IIRC they lacked witnesses, and yes, it will make him look stronger. Nothing quite like smudging your opposition with grasping at hearsay

All I know is, in the interim this will be the best. The real change must happen at the national elections.

The findings against him is a exactly what accountability means, that's why he has to go to court. He has to subject himself to the parliamentary process that follows after this, that is how accountability works.
