There is a reason it is worth so much, and likely the same reason why not to sell it because it will likely spawn equally valuable cattle.

Besides, if he did sell it, how is it going to keep the jobs. All he will do is burn through cash in the hopes things pick up and the workers can earn their keep again, rather than retrench, get the farm back to where it was and re-employ.

It sucks for the workers retrenched but if the farm sinks the outcome is a lot worst than this.

Still a billionaire, but like I said about Cyril, not in the traditional sense.

But Roman was already wealthy at the time. And as I wrote previously, the ANC bigwigs divided the country's wealth and resources among themselves. To the victor go the spoils in action.

Who else in ANC is billionaire ? It would be interesting to find out. For me, Patrice motsepe, Bridgette Radebe comes to mind. And talking of inheritance, didn't current generation of applebaums, ackermans inherit most of their wealth? Or did they also walk in shoulder high mud etc and after receiving nothing like most of our honorable myBB people?

Did the Applebaums, Ackermans get any help or assistance from Government when they created their Businesses?

The Motsepe, Radeba all seem to have family or relatives involved in the ruling ANC and we all know how family of government officials benefit don't we.

The question is would Patrice or Radeba have made it on their own without any ANC influence.
We all know how Cyril made his money.

Tokyo Sexwale for one, and I can't even begin to guess the names of everyone who benefited from the trillion Rand that Jacob Zuma handed to his cronies.

Just to add onto your question, would some of the white billionainaires have made it on their own without the NP's influence?

Do you need to have family within the Governing party to get this influence? Guptas never had family in the Governing party.
