So for those of you that dont know, Ramfest announced their lineup for 2014.

Biffy Clyro
Trivium
Killswitch Engage
Foals

Amazing lineup! The amount of bands we have had in South Africa in the last 12 months has been impressive.

I have seen both Trivium and Killswitch Engage live at Wacken in Germany! Super awesome as for the rest I don't care much.

Trivium and KSE are incredibly mediocre bands imho.

I don't care much for this lineup except for Biffy.

You're kidding right? Mediocre?

Trivium recorded Ascendancy when they were 18. They were kids and they released an album that can still be held up high today.

KSE has the talent of Adam D, and Joel who are probably 2 of the best guitarists in metal at the moment. Take your biffy bullcr@p outta here :P

But hey, being up for a grammy means nothing........

Well I did say imho, roughly translated as "In my honest opinion", but sure...I'll have a go.

While impressive, please don't think they are more special than other bands who've done this, like Decapitated, who recorded their first album when they were mixed between the ages 15-18. Go listen to the Winds of Creation album if you like.

I never said they were talentless, but honestly I believe there are much better guitarists out there. John Petrucci, Jeff Loomis, Jeff Hanneman, Dave Mustaine, Fredrik Thorndendal, Gary Holt, Jim Matheos....fuark I can go on forever, but whatever.

But hey, being up for a grammy means nothing........

Of course it means something, I mean who wouldn't want to be awarded by the same system that regards Nicki Minaj and Black Eyed Peas as top notch musicians. /s

The day Dream Theater, Nevermore, Slayer and Megadeth get here, I will be excited too. The bands might be mediocre, but it's still metal, I still love the music. If I go to a gig, it's hardly ever to listen to the music, it's to have an amazing time.

When Metallica, Deftones and Bullet were here (I know, I know) I could barely hear anything because I was too busy having a good time. I think it's amazing that these bands even consider coming to SA. I might be listening to Brain Drill now, but back in the day KSE was still pretty heavy to me.

TL;DR Have fun, love metal.

I agree 100%. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna be there for sure, and I will enjoy my balls of as well. I just felt I need to make a few points to Inn3rs3lf because he seemed pretty aggressive towards my opinion.
