Electricity theft crackdown in South Africa

Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has said that cracking down on illegal connections forms part of his plan to end load reduction in parts of South Africa.

Ramokgopa told the SABC that Eskom plans to work alongside municipalities to tackle load reduction with the same vigour and effort used to tend to the load-shedding issue.

If youdon't plan, plan to fail

If you have too many plans, plan to carry on your BS to the people.

"cracking down on illegal connections" yeah disconnect them but come back tomorrow and disconnect them and the next day...........

You've know about illegal connections and this should be history also what about arresting mayors and their execs for not paying over collected money. What about soweto and the others. FFS I can carry on for days.

Just buy and burn more diesel. No other solution exists.
Load reduction has nothing to do with diesel.
Those that don't pay and high illegal connections are reduced to save the transformers.
I don't get people, they moan that Eskom doesn't do anything for the illegal connections and non payers but when they do, they still moan.

Hey the ANC promised 'their' people "Free Everything", now they are reaping the rewards, 30 years of incompetence and counting.
