Rand breaks through R15/$

Just a little bit more and we can start visiting Amazon again :).

Unfortunately, this is the new normal for the ZAR and our markets. Volatility. I am pleased to see the ZAR to improve, but it is still prone to wild swings both ways for the foreseeable future. Local news plays a part, but it is international sentiment toward so-called emerging markets that will rule the sway.

The good news is that the lower ZAR will ease our spend on oil and other essential imports (especially as Brent Crude has ticked up to around $40 a barrel).

Now we just need a roll of duct tape for the showerheaded one.

When the Rand actually dips below 15 and stays that way than maybe an article can be done. Currently it's back to 15.06, it's so volatile I've watched it gain 50 cents in a matter of an hour. Sometimes I am like damn I should buy dollars now and sell them when they high, but can't do that as it would be an hourly thing.

Let's be realistic now.

R14 would be decent.

R12 would be a dream come true.

What's so unrealistic about it? It was R8 three and a half years ago: 30 Sept 2012 - R8.30

Agreed - think the guys at Mybb don't have enough content

Getting excited about double digit ROE against the USD just shows how low we have sunk
