Rand breaks through R19 to the dollar

2 meetings this week with staff crying over myself and their GM's desk about salaries, living cost, transport costs etc... We simply can't afford it. The worse is both of them don't even earn that much less than us. Everyone has to cut down but this stigma is brewing that management and senior staff is grabbing what they can from the company.
In a sense I agree but nobody should be blind to opportunistic exploitation of workers.

It's a difficult economical time, take the money and do the job, or leave and hope you find something else. It's not an easy choice. Businessmen are mostly ruthless, but that's ok, of course. It's not personal, only business.

Well that's what happens when you have the ANC running the government.

Can't wait for the next wave of everyone increasing their prices.

How does this get better? I feel that even with a new government, it's somewhat past that point.

What do you mean? It’s massively better since this ancient thread.

We are at R17.69 now and it’s been going progressively down ever since the new government.

Lets hope this is an ESKOM miracle.
