Rand could be heading for trouble

The rand is one of the few emerging market currencies to strenghten against the dollar, but there are serious local and international risks.

If a butterfly farts the rand weakens.
If the prime minister of Sentinal island opens his mouth, the rand weakens.

Personally I am amazed that my PnP Smart Shopper Points Rand value has stayed 1:1 to the actual Rand.
