Rand Easter Show

R120 is just entrance fee. R20 per ride at rand show. I know it is not exactly comparable but I am basing on what my son enjoyed at both. He isn't keen to go to rand show at all. LOL.
So 7 rides would make it the same price. How many rides do you get to go on at Gold Reef, by the time you stand in the queues?

Marketing it as "free" is useless if you have to spend 0.5-1 hour in a queue for a 2 minute ride. I hate queues for anything, it's a colossal waste of time. I'd rather spend R20 to not wait in one, or at the very least, to wait in a shorter one...

I have decided years ago that I will not attend any show/exhibition that I have to pay entrance just to go shop.

Last time, it was about 7 rides, oddly enough the ones that took the longest was the logs and the train.

Well we arrived at 10 and left at 4 on Sunday.
Kids did Anaconda twice, Log, Train, Lazy river x2, golden loop, and about 5 rides there where the swings and storm chaser is.
In between we also had lunch and they played a game of lazer tag.

Good point about queue but it happens at all the popular places now, even restaurants. 1 hour wait for ride definitely doesn't happen in rand show but depending on time you go, it can be up to 30-40 minutes.

GRC just feels more cozy since we have been there many times.

they still doing this? though they didn't anymore, budget cuts or something.

last time I went with my Ex , went to the haunted show or something, felt unbelievably fake,
also expensive,

rides haven't changed since the 90's though, dont know when they were last inspected.
but then again, im bringing my overseas expectations to this,

we dont have a Disney-world or a universal/Marvel theme park locally,
so this is as good as it gets for most people.

Decided to go today randomly. Was a waste of money. The rides aren't R20 pp. It's R20 per ticket, and starts from 3 tickets = R60 pp. Goes up to 5 tickets for anything decent = R100 pp. Better off going to Gold Reef and waiting in the queues. If it was R20 pp for a ride it would have been fine...

That's a rip off
