I think the interest rate hike last week was a form of damage control but it looks like the slump in the rand is unrelated to the standard economic factors
The US diplomatic tensions are controlling it

If RSA was sanctioned and SWIFT payments were stopped, how would you get paid? Just curious as to what other cross border payment options there may be and which overseas companies would be willing to entertain.
