Johannesburg - The rand faltered further on Thursday as emerging market woes resurfaced and the greenback made a comeback against the euro after an upbeat employment report supported US rate hike expectations.

At 09:00 the rand traded at R7.27/$, around 2.5% weaker than late Johannesburg levels.
