As you can see my bsod's started on 12 of jan. I got internet on the 9 or so. So it started as i started using the internet. However apart from the driver verified induced crashes, the crashes are different most of the time.

When using verifier, it crashes afd.sys with c4 error code all most always. I have read alot and it seems that it has to do with the internet and most of the time ethernet adapter drivers, which seems cogent because it started just after i got internet at my new place. However, i got the latest drivers for my on board realtek 1gb ethernet port which is from gigabyte, GA-P35-DS3L Rev2.0. It was also suggested to uncheck power down ethernet card when idle. However it crashed when i was a work today. Usually crashes after about 5 or six hours of being on. It has only crashed once when i was using it. Otherwise it would crash in the middle of the night or while I was at work. This is getting very frustrating. sometime it would only crash after 2 to 3 days.

I got win 7, E6850, 8800GT, Transcend axe ram 1066 (crap cant even run it at latency it is advertised as). I also go the latest BIOS F9.

I can upload my mini dumps, but how do i do that?

pbfilter.sys is the only one in there that is not a built-in Windows driver (except for the nVidias, although they shouldn't cause network problems). I would try to uninstall peerblock and see if that fixes the BSODs.

Otherwise, download Debugging tools for Windows and open the crash dump with Windbg. Set up symbols to point to MS symbol server.

The command "!analyze -v" will usually indicate which driver is causing the problem. See here for a tutorial.

I didnt have a crash for a week, I didnt change anything, but now crashes started again and I got 2 xd1 and 2 x8e's. Okay I am going to uninstall peerblock and see how that works, however i havent used it for 2 weeks now.

okay i followed the toturial, but it doesnt seem to help me much. My crashes keep changing, it is rarely the same driver causing the crash. Is it possible that it is a hardware piece that is busy failing?

I RAN MEMTEST for the first time last night, and this morning i found that there were 999999 errors on the one stick. and on the other there were about 30. It had done 1 pass. Also on test 8 it kept rolling over from 0 to 32000 errors, i know that that number is the limit for integers. it was as though memtest had crashed. i am only running one stick in it today while i am at work.

seems like it could be faulty intermittent ram. will let you know the results of individual tests. also what other info do you require from the memtest?

Okay I ran individual ram tests and the one stick passed 10 passes with no errors and the other stick passed only 1 pass after 10 hours and racked up 99999999 errors and basically crashed memtest. So i have a faulty stick of ram. It is transcend gaming ram and comes with a lifetime warranty. So I will take it in tm. Hopefully my random crashing will end now.

there are more twists in the tale than in a twizler! so just before i decide to take the ram in to replace i decide to test it in another slot to make sure. I did 43 passes over 8 hours with not 1 error. so i conclude that that one ram slot is faulty!

So I moved my dual channel ram to the other slots and will test all over gain!. hopefully this will resolve my bsod issues.

btw, while i have been waiting i was only the one stick of ram and i had no bsods also other programs were working better with no errors. however my pc was super slow with only 1gb of ram. running win 7.
