Random Calls and SMS's

Hi guys

I have got a Vodacom contract that's about 4 months old. There were the random SMS or call that would come through for some random person, but I wrote this down to the number rotated and someone else using it in the past.

This has now become a real pain. I receive up to 20 calls a day for different people and a real increase in SMS's. This includes banking OTP's and other relatively confidential information that is sent by SMS.

It is becoming a serious headache! I know Vodacom can't do anything about controlling who has the number, but is it possible to request the number to be changed altogether?

Any advise is welcome

registered with my ID number, never even get one these days.

except from those nokia Nigerian 419 guys...

Thank you for this, but what about the random nutters that call looking for random people, any ideas on what to do about this?

well is your phone number listed in the phone book by any chance? who are the people looking for you or somebody else?
had a friend of mine get his number accidentally listed by a "Thai massage place" once before......


just saying it does happen more often than not......

always could change your number for a month or two, see what happens, see if they follow you,

I suppose its like any other PC issue, try try until you find what is the cause...
