The FNB offer is very tempting, but I have one or two questions before I jump and buy something only to be frustrated by it later. If I buy an iPad2, I will not jailbreak it until the warranty has expired. Also, if I have to pay for an app which is used to do any of the below, please say so!

  1. PPPoE
Will I be able to create PPPoE connections with the iPad2?
  2. Flashdisk or external HDD
If I visit a friend who has content that I want, what is the easiest way to copy the content to the iPad, without installing Apple software on his PC? Normally I'd just use a flashdisk or an external.
  3. Network sharing
Can I access my Windows files shares (Win7)?
  4. Wifi - WEP key index 3
Can I change the WEP key index to anything else than 1? I know of one or two old networks I access that actually use other key indexes. I can't change that.
  5. Mail for Exchange
    Supported?

2. Install iTunes on YOUR PC (or Mac :)). Import the content into it, then set the iPad's settings to indicate that you want this synced. Now sync it. Of course, this assumes that the content is DRM-free.

5. Depends. All Apple's mail clients are supposed to have Exchange support, but the sysadmin at my university has made some weird settings that just prevents anything but Outlook on the intranet from logging in.

Thanks.

2. If I buy an ICC (camera connection kit), will I need to jailbreak the iPad to access HDDs? With a netbook it is easy - I can copy photos to a friend's flashdisk, or open a vendor's presentation from the flashdisk. I would like this functionality in the tablet as well. I'm willing to look at an ICC, but I don't want to jailbreak.

5. Mail for Exchange shouldn't be a problem - ours work with Symbian, Android, Thunderbird... So I don't think that there are any strange settings.
