Hi

Could anybody advise on good range extender. Using a linksys RE1000 (really the model name) but want to get a faster one. Current 150mbps ok but prefer faster to handle youtube/ hd streaming and backups etc. without buffering etc. Currently bottleneck is adsl but will increase in future so want range extender to match rest of wifi networks speeds.

Thanks but link is an AP? Their range extenders also 150mbps. Experience ltd to linksys; tenda; dlink and netgear. Seems tplink reliable?

I am not a netgear fan, except their high end stuff. But I must say their dual band range extender (2500 model) is really good

Yes after rma linksys routers every year my netgear has been great. Only a lightning strike which insurance replaced.

Speed ok via the re1000 range extender but want to get a faster one of 600mbps for future traffic. Currently my wifi network (mostly linksys AP; bridges) combined with netgear and dlink wifi receivers on pc's running at 65mbps.

See its phone speed as S5 test shows network at 144mbps.

Thanks. It seems ok so far but worried about increased streaming affecting speeds.

@howardb nice speeds because RE1000 150mbps which is slow in this day and age.
