Range Rover

If you are planning to go off-road, a D3 is the better option due to the D4 only taking 19" rims.

While this is true about the RIMS, my parents took there D4 all through Africa with zero problem, did a 20000KM trip through some very rough terrain and the car handled perfectly! It was brand new when they left!

That being said as soon as he got back he traded it in for a new one and brough himself a defender which they have also put a decent amount of mileage on!

Hi all,

Am considering buying a second hand 2008 range rover. Please advise if this is a good idea. If not which second hand 4x4 should i look at interns reliability. It will not be a daily car but for long distance traveling.

Hi Corino,

Did you get your hands on the RR?

I own a LR2 (very happy with it), however my next LR will be a RRS or RRSupercharged (2009 - 2011 models)

I purchased a 1998 Range Rover a good couple years ago and used the above site and forum to fix and maintain it myself.

If you're prepared to roll up your sleeves you can save plenty bucks.

Ended up selling it and got something more reliable, that needed less work and I could drive daily.
