Send Money "real tyme" doesn't ask for otp.

This means when you logged into internet banking which now requires otp they were in and send money to their own account probably.

Which is why I'm scratching my head as to how he knew they had a meal at Steers...

I basically also have an issue with this bank. Its the second time I'm receiving refunds and the funds don't turn up in my account. I was refunded on the 13th the company said after 10 days money will be in your account.... guess what nothing.... phoned and phoned these idiots at tyme bank.... just wasting airtime nothing happens no response. I want my money you crooks

I know the pain or feeling, i was scammed 2k in the "Goal Save" account nogal, that's like a fixed account. How can everyone access it? They gave me a runaround when coming to solve the issue and blocked my account for months, however the BASTARD who took my money is still able to access my account. Its now dey upgraded their damn security because ill be getting OTPs in the midnight n see dem in the morning that someone was trying to access my Account. This must be an Inside JOB.

Atlist for u, u know where u did wrong and as for me i never received any links, yet my hard earned money was gone just like that, did an affidavit, opened fraud case at SAPS still no Help...

Agreed, Tyme bank service is terrible. I'm still unable to upgrade my profile and I've tried 3 times at different kiosks and even the callcentre. No-one can help me.

Now I remember why I had you on ignore the last time. Nothing you say makes sense

• They've phished your IB login details
• If (for some strange reason) no OTP was sent, there are only two things they could have done
  • Do a cardless transaction and send money to a phone number which they would then have to collect at a PnP.
  • Or, they EFT'd the money out of your account.

Given the above, how on earth would you have known they had a meal at Steers since the only way you would have been able to know that would be if your card was present at the store. This is not possible since they could not have printed a new card at the kiosk, as that triggers an OTP being sent to your phone. I had to do this not too long ago so I know.

They could also not have placed the order with the steers app or site, since they would need your card details, of which they won't have the CVV and expiry date (TymeBank's site does display the card number though).

Conclusion: it's impossible for you to have known that they had a meal at Steers and as usual, you are just talking kak!

So I opened a Tymebank account, strictly for Crypto purchases, as they aren't Nazis like FNB is with Crypto.

got hit with one of those SMS scams, the one where you need to click on a bit.ly link and login to a fake website,
wasn't thinking straight, and entered my details, (stupid me) , school fees for next time I guess.

luckily wasn't a lot in the account, like R300 or something to that effect,
anyway called Tymebank fraud department,(told me I'm stupid, I already know) and told me they will "investigate"
gave them the details of who sent me the SMS, and left it at that.
(did see the fraudsters had a nice meal at a Steers in KZN)

10 days later get a SMS, the "investigation" is complete, you dont get a refund, sorry,
was a bit Pissed off, but okay, was only R300 school fees I guess.

now the real fun begins,
I phoned and phoned and phoned them, every-time they create a case to unblock my account,
and every time it goes round and round, they close the ticket without me being able to get into the account,

been this way for months now, nothing seems to change, sent them a DM on twitter now, hopefully somebody other than the braindead call centre helps,
not sure if there is a Tymebank rep on mybb?
