[rant] iStore/Core and custom orders... Don't bother

thats a automat...... nvm, sleepy boy, enjoy your rant
That is all the Information they have provided, no attachments nothing. So not sure what you want?. Webforms have no physical presence. So the only information is with them in what looks like sales force.

I think you're in the wrong section ?

In the Apple section you can't have rants.

Rants aimed at Core are welcome in every section.

You’d think.

But look at your thread and how some are protecting Core and making you out as the bad guy?

Same with this thread - the OP was made out to be the bad guy.

Stop trying to create an argument where there isn't one. At their very best Core does an adequate job and just about everyone knows that.

A detailed quote with line items and final cost is standard and to be expected.

I would not have ranted online about this...but would have contacted Core and asked them for a detailed quote re. my specific purchase request.

That is the way DigiCape does it.

He’s not a frequent poster and I’m just letting him that people aren’t going to be as supportive as he may think. It seems he’s getting frustrated with some replies. I could be wrong.

OP have you found this group of people supportive ?

…. or are replies more like mine aimed at stirring up people into an OT fight because I have a bee in my bonnet about Apple and I’m never ever letting it go?

There, FTFY ;)

mashooda.e******@core.co.za and princess.m*********@core.co.za have been cc,d on every message as they where on the original auto response from using the official istore website run by core in South Africa.

This has supposedly been escalated by an unnamed support representative. In a response to me chasing a response to my original submission on the website.

I was not looking for “support” just to get my frustration off my chest with dealing with the incompetence shown by core.

I’m busy dealing with exactly the same issue and same email response to core recipients. Did you come right?

Phoned the iStore last week to request a custom quote on an M4 Pro MAcbook Pro. At this point I had already received a quote from Macnificent.

The lady told me to email [email protected] with some screenshots, which I did.
Got a reply on Saturday pointing me to the iStore website where you can do the custom orders.
I replied and indicated that the form only supports M3's and I'm interested in ordering an M4.

Haven't had a reply yet.
Did get an email asking me to rate their service, which I rated as a "sad smiley"
Got another email asking to populate a survey about the service, and then the first question is "Which iStore did you visit for tech support" ....

I didn't bother populating it further and promptly ordered my custom Macbook from Macnificent. The guy there is great - responds quickly, understands the products, knows all the news, can give recommendations and when FNB started failing on Payfast with my virtual card he didn't mind at all about the delay. Even gave him a call and had a nice conversation.
