Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with the 25GB download limit regarding RS.com. On my profile page it says I've downloaded 26GB in the last 5 days, but when I look at the log, the downloads from the last 5 days add up to less that 20GB.

How exactly does RS calculate the 5 day period? Is it 5 consecutive days, is it 5 weekdays, or is 5 days of activity? By 5 days of activity I mean, if I download stuff today, then nothing tomorrow or the day after, then something on Sunday, does that count as my 4 of my days, or only 2?

This is really bugging me because there's something I wanna download badly and I need to do it before the links get deleted.

Averaging 5gigs a day?? If only i had the damn PC Suite working

Ok well I can't really contribute meaningfully to the topic but I'd like to know what your monthly cost is for Rapidshare and what's your payment method?

While we at it same questions with megaupload.

I pay 17 Euros for three months at a time for rapid share, and it's so worth it. I mean I'm in the process of downloading R20,000 worth of software... I doubt anyone can get something like that from megaupload.

megaupload doesnt have the "community" that RS has. Most of the warez sites operate on RS

I hate Megaupload more than RS. Personally I use Fileho.com for all my uploads. Free, Unrestricted and with FTP support. Alough it is a little slower than the RS premium accounts.

Hmm i've got about 100 download logs so im not even gonna try add them up.
But the rapidshare total more or less adds up to what my download manager says so its good enough for me.

Also if someone can please help regarding rapidshare:
I've set the option for direct downloading, but when i paste a link into a new page url or into my download manager i just get a 5Kb garbage file. The only way my DM will actually grab the proper file is if i paste the link into the url bar when im on the rapidshare homepage. This gets pretty annoying when u have to copy paste 30 links!
Anyone know how to solve this? i've tried using free download manager and obrbit, and rapget doesnt do multi-thread downloads

I also thought the "direct downloading" downloading would allow me to just paste the links in my IDM/DAP...this was not the fact though. This "direct downloading" just allows you to paste the link into the browser, and start downloading that without the rapidshare webpage loading first with the details of the file.

Orbit uses the IE cookie for direct downloads from rapidshare. So you need to be logged into rapidshare in IE and obviously have your rapidshare details saved in Orbit.

I've used IDM a number of time lately and I was able to directly paste rapidshare links into IDM. The only time I've got 5kb files was when the links had been deleted or I've downloaded more than 25Gb in 5 days.

I presume IDM can use either IE or firefox's rapidshare cookie for direct downloads.

use flashget and make sure your username and password for rapidshare is saved as default. I get my full line speed from rapidshare.

thanks, got IDM to work although doesnt seem like you can paste more than one link at a time... jst cant win

edit: Aha, got FDM to work now too! yea cybershark, you have to be logged in with IE. Can add multiple links now woohoo
