I have joined up on http://rapidshare.de which sounded good, but I have no idea how to find files and URLs.

Please can someone who is using this successfully help me out?

I have installed Rapidget, but still have no URL links.
What am I doing wrong?
 
Bax rapidshare is a service that assumes you allready know what the link is.

If they went and published all the files that they are hosting they would loose alot of money since most if these files are pirated.

With rapidshare you have to find other sites that will give you a link to the rapidshare hosted file.
 
Or try the various warez sites, they all use rapidshare or megaupload etc. It is illegal though.. but you can get anything you want, games, pr0N, appz, movies etc. I dont think there is really a catalog of the files on rapidshare though, unless that rapidshred link has alot on it.
 
Can any1 help me regards to rapidshare without getting an account, and using a proxy? I have tried using an application called Proxy Switcher, but it doesn't seem to work..
 
You can just use rapid share for free without having an account, the speeds are fine but there are sum limitations. One being the 45sec wait before downloading any file, but you can get over this by putting this into your browser bar while waiting for that time to pass: javascript:var%20c=0; it will automatically begin your download and skip the timer. You can bookmark this and just click the bookmark every time to skip the wait.
 
Using Rapidshare without an account is a big problem for Ibursters, because the shared IP address is almost always busy downloading. The 45sec wait would be a pleasure, but its the 50meg download limit that causes a continuous one hour wait.

It got to the point where I gave up trying. I tried using proxies, but without success.

I've since bought a Rapidshare account and having no-wait/no-limit and the ability to use a download manager is well worth the expense.

Now, if we could just find a way of reducing the cost of bandwidth...
 
I never find that my IP is being used already, but i mostly download when I'm using the Openweb proxy and this gives me no problems, but the 50mb wait 1hr 50 mb thing is a problem. I can also use my download manager on a free rapidshare downloads though, i use Internet Download Manager which works great and gives good speeds off free Rapidshare.
 
Rapidshare tip: you can use google to find files in there for you.

Let's suppose you're looking for shareware, use the following search string:
site:rapidshare.de shareware
 
Yep in fact all the tips for Rapidshare can be found at some site... um i think you just type "rapidshare hack" into google and its about the third page, it's a tutorial/tip and hack for Megaupload, Rapidshare and one more upload server.

BTW Rapidshared.com works pretty great its really usefull to find stuff to download unshaped.
