Been using nzb's for 15+ years. Yes you can do it for free but it's a pita. nzb + news sites are dirt cheap and you get the added benefit of a retention time of years.
Used to use multple free nzb sites but they go up and down like yoyo's.

Yes, sometimes there are dmca takedowns but with a automated solution of grabbing the files you have them long before the takedown.

Wow, RARBG's maintainers did not even mention that a potential shutdown was planned. Just boom, gone. I wonder if they still have the data, that others can host it on their sites (torrent links/files)

I asked that on Reddit, they didn't even reach out. They were more than ready to call it a day.
 
What shocking is, that some are fighting, on both sides, meaning that there's some teammembers in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Not nice to go and shoot your tjommie, while being comrades on a internet team/forum and still pay for the hosting costs... must have been a expensive thing to keep going and maintain it...
