Raspberry Pi 5: EVERYTHING you need to know

Not so excited for this. Nice upgrades, esp for the I/O. Looks like cooling is a must now for any serious work.

Might get it later, much later. Still happy with 4B.

Says someone that has it. I want more qty to be honest. Want to be able to pick one off the shelf from Checkers - even if Pi3.

The 5v power input is a problem, that comes in two varieties
1. You need a high output 5v power supply that remains stable over various load levels
2. It needs to use a USB-C connector, USB-C cables that can do so many amps are expensive and your options are really limited.

They really, really need to move on over the USB PD, my mind is blown that we are still running straight off of 5v.
Maybe they are pushing it so hard because there is an entire sub-market just for RPi complain power supplies (ie. stable + current requirements so as not to trigger the dreaded "Low voltage warning"

Any updates now that we're nearly halfway through Nov?
I see pishop doesn't even let you pre-order one, surely pre-orders should be open.

A while back they announced the zero 2W and I preordered one, but ICASA took so long that I eventually cancelled the order and bought a RPi400 instead. I doubt ICASA has upped their game yet.

If anything I'd assume ICASA have regressed even further.
