Raspberry Pi 5: EVERYTHING you need to know

Ok no I am looking at building a weather station. WTF?
Any tips?
I would rather look at using a microcontroller like an ESP32 or a Raspberry Pi Pico W to build the weather station as you probably going to need analog inputs for some of the sensors. It is will be a lot cheaper and also simpler to maintain than using a whole single board computer. I think you would find a lot of weather station projects with code if you google "esp32 weather station"

One can hope. If this thing is struggling with 1080p60 YT videos, it must be choking on anything with better quality.
There is h265 4Kp60 (HEVC) hardware decoding which is great for modern 4K streaming. Unfortunately h264 and VP9 have to rely on software decoding, Youtube will probably never be great on a Pi 5 when watching anything greater than 1080p30. Hopefully, by the time the Pi 6 is launched, everyone will have moved to AV1 and it will include hardware AV1 decoding/encoding

Don't bother. Not interested in this thing anymore.
