Hi,

Now that it is working well and I can watch sport through ntv.mx it is time to put the Raspberry to better use. Which add-ons do you find most useful/easy?

I'm looking for a few things such as an electronic program guide for NTV, an add-on that I can use to link with the external HDD to view pics, listen to music or what he videos I downloaded.

Not worried about Netflix and Hulu because I already have that on the Roku. Any other streaming services I should try?

Thanks

You could delve into the deep underworld of couchpotato, sickbeard etc. and never be seen again?

Hi Joeboy69

Do you get Super Rugby on your Pi? If so, can you give a concise rundown of requirements for an illiterate like me - groot seblief!

Cheers

Hi

Only bought it in December so not sure. Have watched some of the European rugby as well as th cricket on Sky sports 2 now. Go to NTV.mx and click on the Sport package I subscribed to that and you get dozens of sport channels. If super rugby is on Sky it will be available

I asked a few months ago whether anybody was having difficulties with AirPlay since iOS 9 as mine stopped working through Airtry-MR (a little single connected to hifi for sound and home network wifi for getting the music from your phone).

I eventually gave up and am waiting for an iOS update to fix the issue.

Now with Kodi there is also an option for AirPlay. It shows on the phone and tablet as an option for the speakers, but disconnects after a few seconds.

Anybody else with iOS managing to use AirPlay in this way?

Load the add-on same way as ntv ?

Not quite. You'll need to delve deep into the terminal to get everything up and running - it isnt only an app for Kodi, but rather a whole set of daemons that all need to run together. Kodi has a portal to it through an add-on though (but the daemons need to be running and set up first)

Thanks, will try the easier ones first !

I have an erratic connectivity problem (I think) with RasberryPi / Kodi. On the face of it, it connect well with my modem because I can watch any channel on NTV without interruption.

However, any add-on I wish to install usually starts with adding the file source in System / File manager. Always get an error that " couldn't retrieve directory information. Is could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it ?"

So I have to load the file onto the HDD, connect to Raspberry and install from zip. Very annoying !

If I go to System / Network the "internet" line alternates between "busy" and "not connected. Check network settings" every few seconds. Is this not supposed to always be "busy"? Maybe because it connects and disconnects, that is why I cannot add a file source?

Install I from zip is OK if I don't have to do it often, but now I want to play with some of the eg picture add-ons like Dilbert, choose install, gives download 0% message and then eventually "installation failed". Makes me think it is related to not being connected?

Any ideas for resolving this?
