Hi all,

Can you guys tell me how "usable" my computer is? I Received everything brand new as a early present yesterday but dont really know much about these things:

1) CPU - AMD FX 8120 3.1 Zambezi Octacore
2) Apacer Black Panther DDR3 RAM 4gb X 2
3) Asrock Motherboard
4) Corsair 650W PSW
5) Sparkle Dual fan Geforce GTX 650ti OC
6) 1 terabyte Seagate Baracuda
7) Coolermaster TK Quickfire cherry mx Blue mechanical keyboard
8) R.A.T 9 mouse
9) Samsung Syncmaster SA350 LED monitor
10) AOpen CD /DVD Writer
11) Coolermaster elite 431 tower case

These are the details written on the box receipt.
Could you guys tell me how good this pc is? And what its worth if i sell it??

Rate it... well I'd say 6/10. The best components are actually the keyboard and monitor. Someone would pay around r10000 for it 2ndhand I reckon.

AWESOME Rig brah 10/10. I would say second-hand about R24 756 easy

There's a detailed breakdown so maybe I overshot with the price. Maybe R6000 in that case.
 
Ballpark R 5,000; R 6,000 if you sell it as components.

Considering everything is brand new, you can probably push for an extra R 1,000.

Where are you getting these prices from?

Coolermaster TK quickfire is more in the R1200 range.

The R.A.T 9 is more in the range of R1300

I'm more confused as to how you got all of this brand new?
That's a lot of discontinued components.
Was this bought a year ago?

New prices vs second hand prices. You can knock off 25-50 % because it's not "new in box" anymore.

He says it's brand new.
Which means either installed with all boxes or still in each individual box surely?
That's hardly second hand.

You'll be surprised how it hurts its value. I can't buy a 1 TB drive right now for R 700 and sell it tomorrow for R 450.
