Question: how do I validate that my Raycore router is up to date. Fibre from Vumatel

Thank you for responses. The fibre line (Vumatel) and router (Raycore) was procured by the previous owner of my home. I switched to Cool Ideas as service provider. Occasionally the line speed is low, often upload. I want to ensure that my router is running up to date software or firmware

Its not a router, its an Optical Network Terminal, all it does it change Fiber to Ethernet.

Your router is the device that connects to that.

Hi Rick, thanks for your response. Yes, you are correct, but my question still relates to the need to ensure that the ONT (or CDE) is running on up to date software or firmware

You don't need to.. it's not your device, it belongs and is managed by Vumatel..

ONT's work on layer 2, not layer 3, so it does not have an IP address or any IP-based services that you can connect to remotely. If you have connectivity problems then you need to look elsewhere.

Vuma manages it so they'll be the ones pushing updates remotely. No need for you to do anything. If your line is slow contact your ISP
