Modern car batteries are pricey. From a dealership you're looking at R1300, but I'd say you could do better at your local Battery Centre etc. Give them a call.

A bit of useless information while we are on the subject .

"First National Battery is the franchisor of the popular South African franchise, Battery Centre. Battery Centre has become known as South Africa’s foremost battery specialists.

First National Battery
First National Battery is the leading lead acid battery manufacturer in South Africa, producing over 2.2 million batteries a year.

Our batteries are used in more than 40 countries and our products cover various industries and applications ranging from mining, railway and renewable energy to surface traction, telecommunications and automotive (including industrial, commercial and passenger vehicles).

Automotive batteries produced by First National Battery are the first choice of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) including Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Nissan, GM SA, BMW, Volkswagen SA, Renault, Ford, Nissan Diesel and MAN."

This is where your Raylite and various other battery brands come from .

I was quoted well over R2000 by the dealership for mine last time I bought a battery.

2011 S40 T5. Mine died and Volvo quoted me R2500 excluding labour! Replaced under maintenance plan :o

or Tuesday, Mondays can be very busy. Alternatively try Battery Center and get an EFB battery as they are supposedly better tech.

Wouldn't touch a raylite again had one in my Polo for not even 9 months, the original Willards lasted 9 years
