Is it possible to use a hifi corp store card at Game, Dion Wired, Incredible Connections? That's what my brother said and if it's true then it'll come in handy for Black Friday.

As far as I know it will be possible.

I use my RCS card to buy booze for New Year's...
Sometimes to buy braai stuff.

RCS is pure evil though - hectic interest rates.
I will be closing my account soon.
Maybe in January...

But isn't an RCS credit card different from an RCS store card? Meaning with a store card you only pay the interests set by the store when buying on credit?

No. The card is store locked. It is possible to use a game card in other massmart stores.

It's best to cancel your hi-fi corp card and apply for a RCS card Which you can use almost anywhere or maybe Just use your credit card

I hadn't got one yet, I was thinking about getting one going by what my brother had me believe

So you want to get a card that charges you 20%+ interest to "save" money on "specials" that you don't need?

Sound financial plan that.

Don't do it. I closed my RCS account earlier this year. It is pure evil and will drain you of your soul. You can have your soul back at a interest of ..% and service fees

I'd stay away, they got massive interest on these cards.

Stay away from the RCS cards, apart from the ludicrous interest rates their customer support is not the friendliest out there.

Also be wary of balance remaining, if balance remaining on the website is R1000 and you pay this during the middle of the month they will still calculate 15 days interest and add this to your balance even though your account was paid up.

If paying off the account or closing the card always request a manual settle balance or balance of account with interest accrued and get them to email this to you. Once paid always send proof of payment and confirm payment received.

I was a victim of fraud a few years back, my RCS details where "leaked" and a secondary card was in use. Sadly my financial acumen was non existing and i had a debit order that came off every month to clear the card, I had only ever made one purchase so could not understand why after a year I was still owing so much money. I investigated and found that there had been "purchases" of food at Pick n Pay in Soweto. Considering I live in Cape Town it was a little suspect. It was a nightmare to get the card frozen and the charges reversed as well as my money back. Took about 2 years.

That's just silly financial mismanagement paying RCS backbreaking interest
If you don't have cash in hand wait til you do even if it is going to be never
