We have the RCT AXPERT 1K inverter for CCTV camera system.

The current batteries have died ( 5 years ).

Am considering replacing the current Gel Batteries ( 2x 100AH ) with Lifepo batteries, if they are compatible/supported by this inverter.

Edit:

When we got this setup, we where running 12 cameras, now running 30.

What does the inverter look like? You can generally see in the settings if it supports lithium batteries, but generally anything that supports LA batteries will support lithium batteries even if if doesn't explicitly say so.

Have not looked at it in ages, working 16+ hours a day, does not leave one time to explore, things.

Will make a point, of looking this evening if I am not to paste, when I get home. Had not thought the settings would be informative.

The firmware can vary quite bit on these so you will have to take a look. Look for user mode on the battery section like suggested above which will mean you can set the charge, float etc values manually. You can then get a LiFePO4 battery that has a BMS that protects it and it should be OK.

All that being said some people still report issues so its not a 100% will work scenario.

The only issue I recall is the modified sine wave mecer inverters having issues because they were dumb inverters without any settings options.

Thanks, will do.

Is this only for power failure backup or is it offgrid with solar?

1 x 100Ah LFP will do the job of 2 x 100Ah gels.

Use user mode with these settings:
Bulk: 14V
Float: 13.4V
Low cut off: 11V
