Bitfarm works with pretty much anything, besides cybersmart is just an ISP. Unless the package you are on stipulates that it doesnt do p2p and torrents then it will be fine.

i need invites to newshost and bitfarm pretty please coz im spending basically throwing cash at telkom( in the region of R1000 p/m). Invite would be much appreciated. edit : heavy user last 3 years

dodgy. New member, but knows about the sites older anti-telkom days. Expresses that more older sentiment as if to overly strongly express that he wants us to know his on "our" side. Something a young MXIT kid (the style of your language seems to imply youth).. im surprised would express in his first post asking for an invite.

Perhaps I am just way paranoid of those dumbass RISA people trying to play sheriff (as if theyre saving the world), but theyre just in it for the cash. In that case... welcome! Good luck!

Just checked all the Invites that I have given in the last year. I think I tried to screen pretty well (gave only to people who had high post counts, were active on here, and had good connections). Out of the 34 invites I have given so far, four have not used it at all (Zero transfer stats), and half of them have not even transferred more than 1 Gb.

So, in effect only about half of those given invites actually become profitable members. And that is after the screening process. If we had to just give invites willy nilly to all who ask, can you imagine what the failure rate would be?

maybe we should go back to an application form?

There is lots of posts about this in the Forum section. Have look there or ask in the shoutbox. I think you will get more help there as more people will understand as they had the same problem.
I had a quick fix. Make your connection PPPOE and you don't have to worry about port forwarding, Static IP etc...

That is the main reason I have not given out any Invites yet. I do not have a good enough idea about some people yet and don't want any banned members on my Invite list. It's only been 4 weeks and I still need to get the hang of some stuff but will get there eventually. Looking to have 25GB uploaded before middle of June.

then you will have to forward the port as some of the guys will not be able to leech from you.
Search the BF forums for "Connectable" and you should get a few nice threads to get you sorted in no time
