Re : Bitfarm

Haha, d7e7r7 has been in a bit of k@k.. But doubt that the guys will consider the downtime a part of the 72 hours.

Zee.za.net down, BF down - coincidence?

yip thats true, i got a warning, acknowledged it, seeded, still seeding but then suddenly i break a rule that no one but the mods can see..... :erm::erm::erm: eish, lol

So no one has any concrete idea of what is going on?

Are any BF mods/owners/admin on MyBB? This being Saturday night, maybe they haven't had a chance to sort anything out (in terms of letting us know what the dealio is).

i'm not drawing on any conclusions, only assumptions, but seeing as both bitfarm and zee.za.net are both local and both are bittorrent sites, could that not be a sign of something?

What about Ninja Central or has that silly message on the landing page kept the fuzz at bay.

Wow, I'll feel bad if this post tips off the pigs

what happened last bitfarm had trouble they just disabled the tracker and all torrents. sure they would have done that again if it was legal issues. hoping its just something wrong with the webhost

"ISPA filed a complaint, and WA suspended the account", seems zaa.za.net was closed down by WA, WA doesnt want to give them there database or something. Maybe BF closed down aswell.

We managed to obtain the database by accessing the database directly instead of going through the web backend which was blocked. We are currently only waiting for Polemus to come back online so we can finalize the new hosting. Unfortunately, he did no come online yesterday, so hopefully we can get this sorted by today.

Thanks for that. Will this bring up newshost as well?

I think (and don't quote me on this) that if you seed during the downtime your torrent client will keep the info until the tracker comes online again and will then update it. Because the tracker can't watch every bit moving through the interwebz, it need the torrent client to tell it whats going on.

People InnerException is not part of BF so he has no influnce on the newshost BTW.....

And when BF when down I carryed on seeding, and downloading, and everybody was happy, but now NOTHINGS happening I got To get my stuff before WA trial finishes :(

We have nothing to do with newshost, so no. I have no idea what their plans are for getting back online.
In my opinion, the only effect this incident will have on all of the downed sites is that new preventative measures will come into play by each of the parties to prevent such a situation from cropping up again. We will become like cockroaches, always coming back.

EDIT: Just noticed bitfarm is back online.
