Succeed? lol...Anyone remember zee.za.net? lol...That failed...think gower will to.

Zee hasn't failed yet. They just got really unlucky.

They launched at the perfect time (WA local trial). But then got whacked by ISPA. Now their server is up and running but they're having domain name issues. If they were smart, they'd merge with Gower because I don't see a big enough demand to support both of them. Either fail apart or succeed together...

Im all for them trying...But why open the site if its not ready? Sort out all the problems/bugs then open it to the public. :(

Sneaky...

nah man, just being honest. i actually forgot i had subscribed to this thread.

Since then I'm downloading on a SAOL uncapped 384 line, using international torrents, and now I understand what you guys mean about keeping a good ratio!!

Anyway, I'll be posting away on mybb and when I get enough posts I'll be back. Why if I have uncapped international? Well, just to see what the local torrent sites are...and I had a sad experience of downloading a 1.3Gb file which was a fake, and I'm sure local torrent sites will monitor files much more closely.

@McWidowmaker - I remember you from the twincam forums, you hardly post there too...

and you think we should give you an invite because you can't read for very long? If you have no patience to read a thread... how do we know you are going to have the patience to seed a torrent file that you have just downloaded?

start at the back and read backwards. That way you are reading the most recent material. :) Common sense really.

To be brutally honest, we get the message "I have X amount of stuff to upload" about two or three times a week. So with no offence to you, we really have no way of verifying whether or not that is true. Most of us have several terabytes worth of stuff that we have downloaded, so another 400 Gbs does not really excite us.

We have so many dud leechers joining who turn out to be washouts (only one real uploader for about every 25 who apply) that we have to be very careful of those we let in. So we have made the policy that before an invite is given you must have 1000 posts on the forum and have been a member for more than six months. That way we know that these guys are serious about being part of a community. Bitfarm is not just a torrent site. It is a strong sharing community and people who invite others are held responsible for those that they invite. So we could get a bad name by inviting people who turn out to be washouts.

So if this is something you really want, I am sure you will stick around. You might find someone who will give you an invite before then if you are lucky, but both you and him will probably be banned if you turn out to be a leecher.

Sorry it is so strict, but that is what we have to do to protect our precious bandwidth from being leeched by others.

Hope you understand.

It doesn't understand....

It needs to fill out Tux's 38 page long form in triplicate.... I've informed it of at least 1 of the requirements that follow should Tux be happy with the content of the form.
