Hello all,

I have a TP-Link TL-MR3420 router ... what I have noticed is ... every device which I connect to it wireless ... it connects on max 65mbps ... not more then that .. sometimes connects on 54mbps ... the router specs states its a 300mbps wireless ... but i have a HP Pavilion G7 Laptop, Samsung Galaxy S3, Xperia P and few more android devices all connects at max 65mbps not more then that ...

i would like to read other users experience on this ... at what speed does their Wireless devices connect on this device ?

Thanks and Regards

Sounds like it may be only using 20MHz of spectrum. Check in your wireless settings for "Channel Width" or something similar, ensure it's at 40MHz. Then also ensure your "Max Tx Rate" is set to 300Mbps. Also, be aware that the connection speed is limited by distance to the router, interference, and the maximum rate supported by the device.

Mine shows 300Mbps, or am I looking in the wrong place?

my mode is on 11bgn mixed

if I put it on 300, then I only connect at 130

i doubt that there is sumthing wrong with TP Link ...

here is an example ...

when i was looking for a 3G wireless router .. i saw this router .. the thing which attracted me most was its Antenna Gain 2x5dBi ... u can see on the official TP Link's website ...

http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-MR3420#spec

i read many reviews about this router on different websites but was stupid enough to read the specs of it on other sites ..

and after buying ... i came to know that it has 2x3dbi Antennas :S

Now whats that ? TP Link is displaying false specs info about their product on their official website ?

and why ?

How close are you to the device? Regarding the specs perhaps you have the older model?

Hi guys. Some time ago I also had a access point that all the device only connected at a slow speed. The encryption type also has something to do with the max speed it connects. If I remember correctly, after I switched to WPA2, my connection speed was 300. It wasn't a TP link, but maybe try and use different encryption. At home I do have a MR3420 and my one laptop connects at 300 and the other at 150.

if you can post your setup file for your router somewhere (and give me KEY and username/password) I can try load it on my router and see what mine reports with your setup?
