Hi,

Does anybody have access to the telkom proxy server, cache.saix.net?

If not, I'd like to propose that I set one up.

Thanks
Chris

I've had a legal local proxy on one of the big isp's for just over 15gb (a week [:)] ) which unfortunately got terminated recently, sad - got more than 50kb/sec sustained over the period, eitherway - it's all great and stuff setting one up etc, but who actually has bandwidth and are willing to get rid of most of it? Bandwidth is just far too expensive in our pathetic little country to give such a thing away.

I've approached a friend running a small isp recently asking if he would be interested in setting up a PPTP/VPN type solution, problem is it'll only make business sense if thereis a go-ahead for more than ~80 people - and then with quite a high ratio for being in the affordable ranger per month.

Frustration continues :P

On the recommendation of MWeb, I've started using dsl-cache.saix.net. Nothing to set up. Just set your browser and remember to use port 8080.
