Good day to you

I am currently utilising the RAIN 4G connection and obviously it works well for web surfing etc BUT DEFINITELY NOT FOR ONLINE STREAMING. I'm considering upgrading to Rain 5G Connection for DSTV Now , Netflix , Showmax & other online streaming connections. I would like to know if anyone is using the 5G Connection and reaching their full connection speed as advertised by RAIN and can watch any series or movies without buffering issues ???At the moment the RAIN 4G Buffers or hangs like You Tube used to do in the good old days. A reply by any Rain ISP Users will be appreciated .

I have Rain 5g uncapped (R999) one. I stream Youtube (4k), Netflix with 0 issues. Dstv... the quality sucks in any case.

Wireless connectivity will by its nature always be unstable.

While streaming might be working fine for one user, it usually is a completely different story for another.

There are a lot of factors that plays a role in the strength, stability and quality of the signal between your router and the tower, most of which you have no control over. Adding to this is that even if the above mentioned stats are good at your location, the tower could be satured with traffic, which will also affect your streaming experience.

Long story short, if you want it stable, go with cable (fiber) - if you have coverage.

Hi
I've Premium Ultra HD, 100mb Fibre line and a LG 27UL500-W 27" UHD 4K monitor and I'm using the Windows Netflix app, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong as it seems it won't stream anything in 4k.
Any suggestions perhaps?

Check Windows settings.
It might be a setting in your Graphics profile. Depending on the GPU/iGPU settings, this may be a cause.
